Shortly afterward, another 911 call came in reporting that someone had fallen from the third floor of the hotel. One of the responding doctors has since shared the circumstances under which Liam Payne was found.
Alberto Crescenti, the director of Buenos Aires’ medical emergency services, described the condition in which the 31-year-old singer was discovered upon arrival at the scene. According to Crescenti, the fall caused extremely severe injuries that led to Payne’s immediate death.

“We arrived on time and with the necessary resources to try to resuscitate him, but it wasn’t possible. We tried to revive him, but it was impossible,” stated the head of SAME regarding Payne’s passing.
At approximately 5:04 p.m. local time, the emergency services received the call reporting a person lying in the inner courtyard of the Casa Sur Palermo Hotel. Just minutes later, at 5:11 p.m., emergency teams arrived and confirmed the man’s death.
The doctor explained that, unfortunately, Payne had sustained fatal injuries, and there was no chance of resuscitation. As of now, authorities have stated that the investigation remains open to determine whether Liam Payne’s death was accidental or if he took his own life.
