Some kids were playing around us, screaming, kicking each other while we were trying to have a romantic date, we were celebrating our six month anniversary. A woman kept shouting on the phone, a dog got closer to sniff your hand and all the while I was trying to tell you for the first time that I loved you. The chaos that surrounded us couldn't compare to what was going on inside my head.
I had been waiting for that date to come for weeks, and the night before I had ran through every detail wanting it to be perfect. I had chosen the bench at the corner of the park because you can appreciate the beauty of the setting sun from there. We were supposed to be sitting down, my head on your shoulder, our hands intertwined, and I was going to whisper those three words in your ear. But the shouting lady, the kids, and even the dog spoiled my plans. The perfect moment never came, and another six months had to pass before I could say it. We were eating burritos at our favorite food truck, and between bites and beers I blurted out, “I love you;” you looked at me, “Pass me the salt, please,” was your answer. While sprinkling it on your food you stopped and asked, “Sorry, did you say something?”
Finding the words or the perfect moment to say “I love you” is not always easy. We have compiled from different movies, books, series, and songs some quotes that will help you say those beautiful three words.
