Jared Leto is willing to do anything to promote his upcoming 30 Seconds to Mars tour, even risk his own life. The actor got bored of giving commercials as many artists are used to, so he reinvented it and climbed the Empire State Building in New York.
Although this feat had already been done by King Kong, Jared managed to surprise all his fans by daring to climb this 380-meter-high building:
“I did it, I’m alive, it’s amazing, to see the sunrise with a view of the city is too much for me (…) When I was young I wanted to be an artist, and New York was the place you came to be an artist. And the Empire State Building was always that symbol for me,” said the singer after “touching the sky”.

The interpreter of “A Beautiful Lie” took advantage of the moment to highlight that this effort represents what his band has done during all these years. He shouted to everyone from the top of the building that they would be touring next year.
“This album is about chasing your dreams and striving to do what seems impossible. Climbing the Empire State Building certainly falls into that category for me. As does touring the world with my brother and sharing these unforgettable concerts and experiences with all of you,” he explained.
But it was also thanks to the support of his mother, who surprised him with an unexpected visit. When Jared Leto got to the top, he saw her – in the 80th-floor window, that was a “nice surprise.”
If there’s one thing that has always amazed us about Jared Leto, it’s his great condition at 51 years of age and yes, he’s always fearlessly climbing mountains and more. “As many people know, I love to climb. It’s one of the few things I’ve found that takes me away from some of the pressures of life and helps me find a little freedom and equanimity,” the celebrity wrote in his post.
