Two accused of the theft of a painting by graffiti artist Banksy
The incident occurred at an unnamed gallery on New Cavendish Street, in central London. The painting, titled “Girl with Balloon,” was the sole item stolen during the break-in. Fortunately, it has been recovered and returned to the gallery, according to the Met.
Larry F. and James L. were released on bail and are scheduled to appear in court in Kingston, southwest London, on October 9. Their arrest has sparked significant media interest, particularly given the graffiti artist’s elusive reputation.

Who is Banksy?
The pseudonymous street artist from Britain, first gained notoriety in the 1980s with his distinctive aerosol art. His work often combines satirical commentary on politics, pop culture, and social issues with graffiti, stencils, and other techniques.
