Intimacy: A Photographic Journey That Explores Its Meaning

What is the meaning of intimacy?

a) friendship

b) the right to a private life

c) introspection

d) sex

Sebastian Collett

There is not only one correct answer: it is determined by perception. There are moments in our lives that alter our personal point of view and our concept of reality. Intimacy is a personal affair that can be shared, but it doesn’t mean it has to become a sexual one.

Perhaps the act of touching ourselves or another person is the purest form of intimacy. We bring down our walls and put down our masks in order to be understood.
