Pablo Picasso, born in Málaga, Spain in 1981, is considered the father of cubism and one of the most famous painters of the XX century. Not only was he a painter, Picasso was also an engraver, ceramist, scenographer, poet, and dramaturg.

Pablo Picasso was a child prodigy who was given this title by his father and art teacher, who wisely guided his path. Picasso demonstrated passion and ability for drawing at an early age. Since the age of seven, he received a formal artistic education in figure drawing and oil painting, given by his father. On one occasion, his father found an unfinished sketch of a dove, and as he observed it, he felt that Picasso at only 13 years old, had surpassed his abilities, therefore he stopped painting.

Picasso had affairs with many women, he was married twice and had 4 children, Paulo, Maya, Claude, and Paloma, all from three different women. He died on April 8, 1973, and was buried in Château of Vauvenargues near Aix-en-Provence, a property he bought in 1958.

After Picasso’s death, Jacqueline Roque was left devastated and lonely, which led her to commit suicide through a self-inflicted gunshot wound in 1986 when she was 59.

With a life full of passion and talent, Picasso accomplished various profound analogies that are now immortalized through inspirational phrases about life, creativity, and art.
