Ezra Miller is one of the most controversial Hollywood figures of the past years. They started as a great promise for new generations; they broke gender stereotypes at a time when the conversation was just starting; and above all, they proved to have great talent. However, it all went downhill in late 2019 when the star actor started presenting disturbing behaviors.
Controversies, accusations, and even arrests have been a constant in Miller’s life in the past four years, and despite the mounting evidence and witness declarations the actor of the flopped The Flash, has now broken the silence on social media after a court lifted a harassment order against him.
Charges regarding that order were filed in 2022 after Ezra Miller was accused of abusing a 12-year-old non-binary child and his mother. A court in Massachusetts granted the family a temporary harassment order against the 30-year-old actor, but said order has been now lifted. “I’m encouraged by today’s outcome and very grateful at this moment to everyone who has stood beside me and sought to ensure that this egregious misuse of the protective order system was halted,” Ezra posted.
Miller claims that the accusations were false and added to their statement that these orders are supposed to protect real victims and not being used as “weapons by those seeking attention or fleeting tabloid fame or some sort of personal vengeance when there are people in true and dire need of these services.”
Adding to Ezra Miller’s statement, their lawyer Marissa Elkins, also shared a message claiming that the accusations against Miller were made at a time when they were “struggling with significant mental health issues and was unable to come to court to defend themself against the spurious claims made by this individual.” She added that the actor has now been “able to appear in court last year and share the truth about their very limited interactions” with the family.
Although this is just one of the many accusations made against Ezra Miller, the actor still claims that they have been “unjustly and directly targeted” and also “implored” the media who have “recklessly spread false claims” to take the time to verify the claims instead of “chasing the clicks.” Again, this is all related to this very specific case.
Miller added that they are “continuing to do my best to preserve my own wellness and what I can to reverse the collateral damage this ordeal has brought upon me and those close to me.” As we know his erratic behavior and many other charges against him have impacted his career despite the studios not being as harsh as they have been with other actors and accusations. Still, the public has been harsh, and proof of that is the failure of The Flash at the box office.
Finally, Ezra Miller thanked all those “who have had the enormous courage to see me through it all and make it here with me – I will spend a long time trying to explain to you what it has meant to have your support. You have my undying gratitude, admiration, and love.”
