In the last few months, rumors about his health condition were unleashed while he was filming the movie Back in Action with Cameron Diaz. Although his daughter had already announced that Foxx was recovering, the actor finally reappeared in a video for all his followers.
“First of all, I want to thank all the people who prayed for me and sent me messages. I don’t know how to tell you that was very important to bring me back. I went through something that I never imagined could happen. I didn’t want to talk before because I didn’t want to be seen like this.”
Foxx confirmed that he was indeed near death. “I didn’t want to be seen with tubes or uncertain if I was going to be able to survive. My daughter and sister saved my life. I want to thank the doctors for everything they did. I understand that because I kept quiet a lot of things were said, but, as you can see, everything is fine. I am not blind, and I am not paralyzed. What I can tell you is that I went to hell and back.”

Jamie Foxx was filming the movie Back in Action. The comedy film directed by Seth Gordon represents the return to the big screen of Cameron Diaz along with other star actors such as Kyle Chandler and Glenn Close.
Foxx’s daughter, Corinne, revealed via her Instagram account the news that shocked the entertainment world. “I wanted to share with you that, my dad, Jamie Foxx, had a medical complication. Luckily, thanks to quick intervention and great care, he is now on the mend. We know how much he is loved and appreciates all of your prayers. The family requests privacy at this time.”
Despite this statement, several rumors have been sparked about a possible stroke. In fact, reports indicated that the actor miraculously saved his life thanks to the prompt medical attention he received.
Last May 12, his daughter Corinne clarified the situation in an Instagram story: “It’s sad to see how the press makes a fuss. My dad has been out of the hospital for several weeks now and is recovering. We actually played pickleball yesterday. Thank you all for your prayers and support. We have an exciting job announcement next week.”
Now, the actor said he is ready to return. “My recovery was complicated, but I’m back. I can work now, and I want to thank all the people who have allowed me to work. I really appreciate all the love I have received. It has been very difficult. I was sick, but, I have my legs under me, and you will see me out there.”
