The contract he was offered is approximately $8 million per season, according to sources with knowledge of the agreement. Likewise, the contract as head coach has a duration of 4 years.
Former player JJ Redick, 39, is a somewhat strange option for the Lakers, who hired a veteran who played 15 years in the NBA and who has not had any experience to show that he can lead the franchise that has won 17 titles and it is one of the most important in the sports world.

Redick was a skilled perimeter shooter on all six teams he played for before his retirement in September 2021, when he decided to launch a career as an analyst and podcaster with his show called “Mind the Game” with LeBron James two months ago, which it has become very popular. In addition, the now head coach of the Lakers joined the ESPN commentary team this year.
Will he leave what he’s built over the last few years and take the full risk of running a team?
