The Music World Came Together for One Final Salute to Ozzy Osbourne

Ozzy Osbourne Funeral Celebs - The Music World Came Together for One Final Salute to Ozzy Osbourne

Legendary rocker Ozzy Osbourne receives a heartfelt farewell as thousands line Birmingham’s streets, followed by a private celebration of life with close friends and music icons in England.

Ozzy Osbourne, the iconic frontman of Black Sabbath who passed away on July 22, 2025 at age 76 after battling Parkinson’s disease, was honored in two emotional ceremonies in England. First, a large-scale public funeral procession wound through Birmingham, where thousands gathered in tribute. The next day, family and friends attended a private burial at his Buckinghamshire estate.

Public Procession: A City Pays Tribute

On July 30, fans lined Broad Street and the Black Sabbath Bridge in Birmingham, chanting “Ozzy” and flashing devil horns while a brass band played “Iron Man.” Mourners left flowers, tattoos, and personal messages at memorial sites. During the emotional procession, Ozzy’s widow Sharon Osbourne and children Kelly and Jack were visibly grief-stricken.

Private Funeral at Home Estate

The following day, around 110 close family members and friends attended a private ceremony on Ozzy’s 250-acre Buckinghamshire property, near a serene lake. Guests included music legends like Elton John, Zakk Wylde, Rob Zombie, Corey Taylor, Marilyn Manson, and members of Black Sabbath.
In keeping with Ozzy’s wish to avoid a “mope-fest,” the ceremony included a floral wreath spelling “OZZY F*ING OSBOURNE”**, personal tributes, and informal touches that reflected his humor and love of music.

Who Attended the Private Service

At the intimate ceremony held on July 31, 2025, roughly 110 guests gathered at Ozzy’s 250-acre estate beside a serene lake for a heartfelt farewell. Among them were many of rock music’s most legendary figures:
