Taking to social media, Selena announced that on October 10, World Mental Health Day, 100% of all Rare Beauty purchases will contribute directly to this cause. This initiative aims to make a significant difference by providing access to essential mental health services.
Last year’s campaign was a huge success, allowing Rare Beauty and Sephora to support 26 mental health charities worldwide. “This year, for the second year in a row, we will donate 100% of Rare Beauty profits sold at Sephora to support access to mental health resources through the Rare Impact Fund,” Selena shared. “Our mission is to reduce the stigma around mental health and help young people access the education and resources they need.”
The Rare Impact Fund, launched in 2020, dedicates a portion of Rare Beauty’s sales to mental health programs and resources, making it a core part of the brand’s mission.
Selena has always been open about her personal mental health journey, candidly sharing her experiences with bipolar disorder, anxiety, and depression.
In her documentary, Selena Gomez: My Mind and Me, she discussed the challenges she faced in her 20s, including psychosis and her bipolar diagnosis.
