Shakira continues to make history, not content with breaking sales and streaming records with the release of her new album ‘Las Mujeres ya no Lloran,’ she now also made waves in New York.
The Colombian surprised her thousands of followers with an epic and completely free concert in the heart of Times Square.
Through the screens of the Big Apple, the singer gave a show of around 30 minutes where she performed several of her most famous songs and some from her new album.
Her performance started with her big hit “Hips Don’t Lie”, a melody that ignited the thousands of people gathered on the famous avenue.
Shakira thanked the audience for their unconditional support throughout her career, but especially for the love she has received in recent months and upon her return to music.
“It’s incredible to see you all again. Thank you for all the love you have given me for the release of my album ‘Las mujeres ya no lloran’ and thank you for coming,” she mentioned.
One of the most anticipated songs of the night was Shakira’s Session 53 with Bizarrap, a track with which the Barranquilla native ended the show with incredible energy.
There is no doubt that with this surprise concert, she has us counting down the days for the much-awaited announcement of her new world tour, something we have dreamed of for years.
