The legendary stylist, who’s been behind Zendaya’s most jaw-dropping fashion moments since 2011, just gave an update on the actress’ wedding to Tom Holland. And if you were expecting details about the dress, venue, or vibe… don’t hold your breath.

When asked about how wedding planning is going, Roach didn’t mince words. “
The process hasn’t even started yet,” he told E! News at the Las Culturistas Culture Awards.
According to Roach, Zendaya has been too busy filming the next Dune movie to even think about cake tastings or dress fittings.
“It’s so many movies, so we have time,” he added. “We have a lot of time.”
Translation: the couple is in no rush — and they like it that way.

A “Secret Bride” in the Making
While he kept any dress details firmly under wraps, Roach did drop one clue: Zendaya will be “a secret bride.” That means no Vogue spread, no paparazzi shots of the gown, and no chance of the world seeing what’s sure to be an unforgettable look.
Roach previously told Complex that even when the big day comes, it will be private, intimate, and fashion-forward in a way only Zendaya can pull off.
“It will probably be a wedding dress that nobody will ever see,” he teased.
A Love Story Fans Can’t Get Enough Of
Despite the secrecy, Roach couldn’t hide his excitement.
“I’m really excited because I know that they really love each other and they have for a really long time,” he said. “The fact that the world has been able to share in that love story, I think it’s really beautiful.”
Zendaya, 28, and Holland, 29, have been together on and off since meeting on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2016. After years of speculation, they went public in 2021, and by January 2025, their engagement was confirmed when Zendaya debuted her stunning diamond ring at the Golden Globes.

Privacy Over Pageantry
Holland’s father revealed that the actor proposed the traditional way — ring in hand, asking Zendaya’s father for her blessing. But don’t expect that traditional streak to extend to a public wedding. As Roach put it, this will be a celebration “for them, not for the world.”
For now, fans will have to settle for the slow drip of hints and the knowledge that, when Zendaya and Tom finally say “I do,” it will be on their own terms — and probably in a dress no one else ever gets to see.
