Is no longer a secret that Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire appear in the latest Spider-Man movie, “No way home”; however is not until now that Garfield talked about his role and how he worked with the other Spidermen.

Talking to Variety, Andrew explained that when he was given the opportunity to play again Spider-man, he was also encouraged to explore what he would have liked to happen to the character, to heal wounds and, in a way, reconnect and give some kind of closure to his Peter Parker.

“The pitch was really, really enticing. They said, you played this character in your way and what would you want to explore if you had an opportunity? If you were dumped into this other universe and faced with this younger you and this older you, how will you respond?”

Garfield explained that he wanted to create a sense of brotherhood between the three Spider-men, a kind of mentorship for the younger one that, in this case, is Tom Holland.

This is how he came up with one of the most emotional scenes in the movie next to Tobey Maguire and Tom Holland.

“There’s a line I improvised in the movie, looking at [Maguire and Holland] and I tell them I love them,” Garfield said. “That was just me loving them.”

When talking about his experience, he also mentioned a “cosmically beautiful” chance they gave him to heal a traumatic moment by rescuing MJ because it fell like a second chance at saving Gwen, played by Emma Stone in “The Amazing Spider-man”.

“I am so grateful. I’m just really, really grateful that I got to tie up some loose ends for the Peter that I was playing”, he said to Variety.
