The Golden Globes gave the kick start to Hollywood’s most awaited time of the year, the award season; however, it wasn’t as spectacular as it used to be. A very bad host, who, in 2024 still thought misogyny, ageism, and bullying were still funny, and a very unhearted ceremony with no really deep and interesting speech.
Still, if there’s something memorable about the night, besides the teas that came out from it, was the amazing cast reunions that happened during the red carpet and commercial breaks. From iconic films to unforgettable series, these are the very best cast reunions that happened at the 2024 Golden Globes!
Meryl Streep and Amanda Seyfried
The talented blondes starred together as mother and daughter in the Mama Mia! movies. Amanda was posing for the cameras on the red carpet when Meryl approached her to kiss her. She walked out leaving a very surprised Amanda and a memorable moment.
Emily Blunt and Meryl Streep
Meryl Streep also gave us another reunion moment with this lovely photo with Emily Blunt; both starred in the classic The Devil Wears Prada.
Jennifer Lawrence and Lenny Kravitz
The actress and the singer were nominated last night although none of them won the awards for their categories. However, they did gift us with a heartwarming reunion of Katniss Everdeen and Cinna from The Hunger Games.
Sam Claflin and Elizabeth Banks
Claflin and Banks gave us another Hunger Games moment! Both starred in the franchise as Finnick and Effie! The two reunited in 2019 when Elizabeth Banks directed him in Charlie’s Angels.
Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling
The best screen couples if you ask me! Both actors were nominated for their respective movies Poor Things and Barbie. However, only Emma came out victorious… once again… Both starred in the iconic La La Land and Crazy, Stupid, Love.
Patrick J. Adams, Gina Torres, Sarah Rafferty, and Gabriel Macht
To the surprise of the world, Suits had a reawakening in popularity this last year and to celebrate Adams, Torres, Rafferty, and Macht reunited to present an award at the ceremony. Also to be noted, their co-star and now rebel royal, Meghan Markle was invited to this unique reunion, but she declined the invitation. How amazing this would’ve been!
Pedro Pascal, Andrew Scott, and Bella Ramsey
This was a double reunion! Not only did Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey recently star in the successful series The Last of Us, but Bella also starred alongside Andrew Scott in Catherine Called Birdy where they played their father!
Greta Gerwig and Natalie Portman
Greta is now a renowned director not only for her recent hit Barbie but for other nominated films such as Lady Bird and Little Women. However, to many’s surprise, she’s also a great actress and she worked with the one and only Natalie Portman in No Strings Attached and Jackie.
Natalie Portman and Mark Hamill
And talking about Natalie Portman let’s talk about the photo that shook the internet! Although they haven’t worked together per se, both actors are linked to one of the most successful franchises in the history of cinema, Star Wars. Mark Hamill, who plays Luke Skywalker shared an iconic photo with Portman (Padme Amidala) captioned “Now I have finally met my ‘mother’, thanks to the @goldenglobes.”
