Nearly 17 years after its premiere, the U.S. adaptation of The Office remains relevant as it hits new streaming platforms. Much to the delight of fans, we continue to uncover new secrets about Dunder Mifflin’s workers. Now it’s the turn of a never-before-seen scene of Michael Scott and a hilarious incident in the bathroom.

With the debut of the series on Peacock TV came the Superfan Episodes: a collection of favorite episodes that include the best moments of the series.

It is in the episode “Job Fair” of the fourth season, we see the new scene: a cold open, as it is known to the short scenes that appear before the opening credits, in which Michael Scott tells the accident he just had in the bathroom and proposes an absurd solution. Not before Dwight rushes, as always, to his rescue.

You can watch it here:

Michael tells how he was in the bathroom, dropped his cell phone in the toilet, and, when he tried to stop it, a calculator, some keys, a Bluetooth accessory, some candy, and his wallet also fell in. So, to prevent it from happening again, he “invented” a kind of toilet seat made from a tennis racket. The very last seconds of the clip with Creed is just pure gold!

Among other things we have recently discovered about The Office, is the scene that John Krasinski, who plays Jim Halpert, refused to film for the series: it has to do with the relationship between Jim and Pam and how he was about to cheat on her when she was pregnant, but the actor decided it was “a point of no return” for his character. Good choice!
