The Simpsons was a show that has marked an entire generation, not only for its far-fetched stories and parodies that emulate what happens in real life, but for the iconic voices for which we will always remember them. Unfortunately, yesterday it was reported that Marge Simpson‘s voice actress for Latin America, Nancy Mackenzie, died.
Nancy Mackenzie Dies at 81
It was Claudia Motta, voice actress whom we all know for dubbing Bart Simpson, who wrote on her social media the message with which this sad news was announced:
“It’s with deep sorrow that we announce to the Simpson daughters (Lisa and Bart) the passing of our beloved mother Marge Simpson (Nancy Mckenzie). Rest in peace, we will never forget you.”
According to the information, Nancy Mackenzie died at the age of 81 last Friday, June 14 (for reasons still unknown), however, it was not until this Monday, June 17 that the family decided to make the news public, so that all fans from The Simpsons joined in their support.
Nancy Mackenzie was born in Peru, on December 6, 1942, beginning her career in theater and soap opera acting at the age of 19. However, she rose to international fame by playing Marge Simpson until season 15. Other animated characters she voiced include Daphne from ‘Scooby Doo‘; Miss Keane in ‘The Powerpuff Girls’, and Sailor Galaxia, in Sailor Moon, among others.

Humberto Vélez, on the other hand, who gave voice to Homer Simpson, also dedicated a message to him through his Instagram account:
“Thanks for the laughter, the debates, the confidences. Thank you for going through this part of life with me. You were, are and will be a fundamental part of the most important work project of my work. You are many things. You are my wife Marge.”
