Throughout his political campaign and his time at the White House, Trump vowed to build an enormous wall on the US-Mexico border. He even declared a state of emergency on the border in an attempt to stop immigrants coming to the US.
Months before Trump left the White House, Biden made a statement in favor of ending the state of emergency on the border. President Biden expressed that Trump’s state of emergency did not warrant building a wall.

In a letter that Biden sent to Congress, he also asked for construction and funding for the wall to be suspended in order to investigate legal aspects.
The President also said that his administration is looking into these funds carefully, so none of them are diverted, which is what happened during the Trump administration.
Only a few weeks into his presidency, Joe Biden is actively changing the things that he doesn’t approve of. One of them being the wall, which many experts claim, won’t solve the immigration problem.
