The dog who previously climbed the Pyramid of Giza is now leading his friends to join him. In a new video, you can see the same dog scaling the Pyramid of Giza again, but this time accompanied by three more adventurous companions.
After a video of a young man paragliding over the area surrounding the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt went viral, where he captured footage of a dog at the pyramid’s peak descending as if it were no big deal, the dog has been spotted once more. This time, however, he’s guiding his friends to take on the same challenge.

“I spotted a dog at the very top of the Great Pyramid Khafre who went viral with people suspecting he might be the physical embodiment of Anubis, the ancient Egyptian god of the dead who’s often depicted with the head of a jackal (a fox-like animal that looks just like these local dogs)!”

The new video, shared widely on social media, shows at least three additional dogs following the fearless leader as he seemingly ascends and descends the complex effortlessly, as though it’s part of his daily routine. Now, he’s even accompanied by some furry friends!
To the amazement of the person recording, the dogs can be seen zigzagging up one side of the pyramid without issue, patiently waiting for the other three to keep up. There’s no doubt that this little dog is not only fearless but a natural leader.
How does the dog climb the Pyramid of Giza?

From the initial video, which captivated social media users, many were left wondering how the dog managed to reach the top. Questions arose about how it safely made it back down—but as the videos show, the dog and his friends seem to manage this feat with ease.
These privileged pups seem to have special access since, for years now, climbing the Egyptian pyramids has been prohibited for tourists and the general public.
This rule is both for safety reasons and to help preserve one of the world’s wonders, which was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979.
Many stray dogs live at the pyramid. In fact, Apollo, the dog in the video, is one of eight dogs in a pack that lives on the upper reaches of the pyramid he was spotted on, but Apollo’s mother Laika climbed towards the top of the structure as she likely felt safer there.
“There are a lot more dogs than there is food and water,” he said. “Some of them look okay, but others don’t… They face many dangers, like getting hit by cars or being mistreated, but they’re all sweet and loving dogs that need homes.” said Mosher, the guy who initially captured the climbing dog on tape.
Apollo and its siblings now live there, climbing to the top regularly to hunt birds.

Vicki Brown, co-founder of the American Cairo Animal Rescue Foundation, stated they always look after the animals that live in the 4,500-year-old pyramid complex, providing them with food, water, medical care and helping them to get adopted.
So, the adventures of this remarkable little dog continue in Egypt, and as long as he keeps being captured on video, he’ll keep amazing locals and tourists alike with his effortless way of climbing and descending the pyramids—now with his friends joining the adventure!
