LEGO announced its first set in the Dune universe, in collaboration with Legendary Entertainment and based on Denis Villeneuve’s film adaptation of Frank Herbert’s masterpiece.
The LEGO Icons Dune Atreides Royal Ornithopter is everything you dreamed of, a LEGO brick replica of one of science fiction’s most iconic ships. As part of this new 1,369-brick building experience, Dune fans will be able to recreate the dragonfly-inspired design of an Ornithopter with functional blades that can move and retract with 180-degree rotation. Oh wow!
Measuring 23 cm tall, 57 cm long and 79 cm wide, the LEGO Icons Dune Atreides Royal Ornithopter features a folding landing gear, and the set also includes eight new LEGO minifigures of key Dune characters, including Paul Atreides, Lady Jessica, Gurney Halleck, Chani, Leto Atreides, Liet Kynes, Duncan Idaho, and the long-robed Baron Harkonnen.
“Like fans around the world, we were completely captivated by the epic Dune when it was released. So our return to Arakkis in Dune: Part Two was the perfect opportunity to bring this iconic ship to life in LEGO brick form,” said Michael Psiaki, Master Designer of the LEGO Group, via a statement.

The LEGO Icons Dune Atreides Royal Ornithopter is available for pre-order from October 24 and will be on sale from February 1, 2024, priced at 164.99 USD, both in stores and online.
The LEGO Icons Dune Atreides Royal Ornithopter is part of LEGO’s range of Adult Sets, which provides adults with immersive building experiences that become showpieces. As a reminder, Dune: Part 2 hits theaters on March 15, 2024.
