The entertainment world is in mourning. Actor Matthew Perry, who played Chandler Bing in Friends, passed away.
According to initial reports, the 54-year-old celebrity was found drowned in the hot tub at his home in Los Angeles.
TMZ detailed that EMS responded to Matthew’s home for a possible cardiac arrest and while there are no further details on what actually happened to him, an investigation remains open.
For the moment, the only thing that is known, according to what was reported by the aforementioned media, is that no drugs or anything else that could indicate that it was a suicide was found at the scene of the incident.
“The actor was found Saturday in a Los Angeles home (…) He appears to have drowned. First responders rushed to a cardiac call (…) No drugs were found,” said TMZ.

Who Was Matthew Perry?
Matthew Perry was a television actor, writer, and producer, who was born on August 19, 1969, in the United States. The famous gained greater recognition in the industry for his role as Chandler Bing in the hit series of the 90s, which aired for ten seasons made up of 234 episodes in total.
If there was something the public loved about the actor, it was his humor and charisma, which led him to become the favorite character of many Friends fans. However, in an interview with CBC last year, Matthew Perry confessed that he couldn’t stand watching himself on the hit sitcom for a specific reason.
As the comedian explained, the series was a reminder of his long battle with addiction. “I didn’t watch the show and I haven’t watched it because I could drink, opiates, drinking, cocaine (…) Like I could tell how I looked season after season,” he said.
In addition to Friends, Matthew Perry had a successful career in film and television, participating in films such as The Whole Nine Yards and 17 Again, as well as other television series such as Studio 60 on the Sunset, Strip, and The Odd Couple.
He also served as a writer and producer on several projects.
