Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell, the eldest daughter of Mama June from the reality series Honey Boo Boo!, who died last Saturday at age 29 from stage 4 adrenal cancer, reportedly married her fiancé, Eldridge Toney, after being diagnosed in January, according to the specialized media TMZ. “They tell us that Anna made it clear that she wanted to have her wedding while she still felt well enough to participate in a ceremony,” says the specialized media.
TMZ had access to the marriage certificate and claims that Anna and Eldridge were married on March 4 in Wilkinson County, Georgia. Additionally, Anna’s husband’s brother was the officiant. The wedding included family and close friends, as well as a recording crew that was constantly recording images for the reality show Mama June: From Not to Hot. Last Friday, Mama June had asked her followers on social media to pray for her daughter due to the delicate condition she was in. “This will be my last post until the time comes for us, we are asking for continued prayers and thoughts, until I post again we are enjoying the time and creating the memories that will last a lifetime,” she said.
On Saturday night, the matriarch took to social media to confirm the tragic news. “With a broken heart, we announce that @annamarie35 is no longer with us, she passed away at my home last night peacefully at 11:12 p.m. m,” she detailed. As June explained, the young woman was diagnosed last January, but the cancer had already advanced to category four and there was not much to do. The young woman underwent chemotherapy and immunotherapy, but the result was imminent.
“She put up a tremendous fight for 10 months, and she passed away with her family around her as if she had not faced the hell she went through, we will be updating everyone with more information as we have it today,” she assured.
