Comedian Colin Jost was forced to joke about his wife, Scarlett Johansson, on live television during a joke exchange segment with Michael Che on the popular TV show ‘Saturday Night Live‘ During the “Weekend Update” segment, the comedians, who are co-hosts, mercilessly wrote jokes for each other to respond to during the final episode of the year.
“New York state now allows movie theaters to serve alcohol, which finally allows me to enjoy my wife’s little art films,” said Colin Jost, 41, grimacing as he handed out the never-before-seen footage. “Just kidding, honey, I love all your movies and if you ask me, you’re an even better Black Widow than Coretta Scott King,” he said, referring to Martin Luther King Jr.’s late wife.
As if the situation wasn’t funny enough, Che introduced a “poet, author and activist… who was last on this show, season 3, 46 years ago” to sit next to Colin Jost while he delivered the racist joke. “Please welcome Dr. Hattie Davis, ladies and gentlemen,” Che said, introducing an actor to the set who was an African-American civil rights activist. Elsewhere in the segment, Jost fired back at his colleague with an equally daring joke about Beyoncé.

“Last month, Beyoncé posted a photo on Instagram of herself wearing a chrome Versace dress and platinum blonde hair that many people online described as ‘too white,’” the comedian read.
“Beyoncé looked so white that I finally felt attracted to her.” The comedian and actress were linked in May 2017 when they were seen kissing after their appearance on “SNL.” They went public with their relationship in December of that year and got engaged in May 2019 after two years of dating.
