She wore a chic Chanel tweed skirt paired with a black blazer and classical Mary Jane shoes, fully adorned in the French designer’s clothing. For the bag, she opted for a mini Gucci bag with a houndstooth print. Just like many other celebrities last night at the Oscar’s Ceremony, the pop star, who won a golden statuette for her song “What Was I Made For?” wore a red pin representing Artists4Ceasefire, a symbol calling for a ceasefire in the besieged Gaza Strip. This gesture was a powerful statement of conscience and defiance against Israel’s efforts to silence its critics.
What is wrong with Eilish’s Oscars outfit?
However, there is an inconsistency: Eilish also wore Chanel, a brand that openly supports Israel. In a statement published in October, Chanel expressed solidarity with Israel and pledged a donation for humanitarian aid efforts in South Israel.

This choice of outfit adds to the confusion as both political messages appear to contradict each other. There is no doubt the 22 year old is a big influence, so is she Pro-Palestine or Pro-Israel? Hence the importance of making a clear and vocal statement.
The politicization of the Oscars was evident last night. For example, the entire cast of Anatomy of a Fall wore Palestine flag pins, Mark Rufallo voiced his support for Gaza, and Jonathan Glazer referred to the genocide of Palestinians as a Holocaust in his acceptance speech.
