Sephora kids - 'sephora kids', the sad and disturbing reality of being a child now

Recently, the number of girls and boys around the world who go to stores like Sephora to buy skin care and makeup products has been alarming.

Social networks have called ‘Sephora Kids‘ the teenagers who mainly share their routines to look impeccable on Tik Tok, using products such as collagen or hyaluronic acid.

However, as cosmological companies take advantage of this new market for beauty products among children, concerns have arisen among the population about the risks associated with using these products at such a young age.

Why are there girls and teenagers shopping in stores like Sephora?

The number of sales of skin care products among children between 10 and 17 years old is increasing.

This is because many companies in the beauty sector have decided to target increasingly younger customers, resulting in massive sales of products that should not be used by that type of customer.

Adults argue that this situation is due to the content consumed on Social Media, in which children see influencers recommending certain products.

The famous ‘Unboxing’  and ‘Get Ready With Me’ on Tik Tok create the desire in teenagers to try new products, even if they do not know what their true function is.

Why is the ‘Sephora kids’ phenomenon dangerous?

Skin care specialists have warned about the use of products that are not suitable for minors, such as hyaluronic acid and retinol, substances that can eventually cause side effects on the skin when used at a young age.

It has been clarified that it is not bad for children and adolescents to want to have a skincare routine, but to do so, they must consult a specialist who will explain to them what products they can without hurting their skin.
