Everyone is free to choose who they want to share their life with, which is why there are so many preferences that sound great for some and horrifying for others. That is the case with sugar daddies, and now “cubbing.” But the main point here is that people can do whatever they want and love whomever they want, as long as both parties consent and nobody gets hurt.
Cubbing is a new trend in dating and relationships that can be confused with “cougaring” (older women who seek out younger men or men under 30), but cubbing is the other way around: it’s when men in their twenties seek casual or formal relationships with much older women, sometimes with a 30-year age gap even.

Sex and the City writer Candace Bushnell was the one who coined the term, exploring it in her new book, Is There Still Sex in the City?, which talks about the sex lives of women over 50. It was during her research for the book that she came across cubbing, one of the most popular trends for women in this age group.
Bushnell is known around the world for having created the ultra-iconic TV series and giving the world a fun yet compelling story about the lives of single women in the 21st century, so it should come as no surprise that she’s doing it again in this book, only this time, she’s tackling a different side of the female experience.

As the creator of this term, Bushnell claims that it’s a very new and different world out there for middle-aged women, which is why every trend becomes a phenomenon, just as it happened with cubbing. Unfortunately, Instagram took down the video where she talks about her new book because, according to the platform, they don’t allow ads for adult products or services, such as sex toys or devices, or any other kind of video or post, because this content is sensitive in nature and can elicit negative responses from the public.
Is There Still Sex in the City? is a great book written by a woman in her sixties who talks about her personal life in a fun and intelligent way, exploring themes like love, relationships, and aging in a way that all of us can relate to.
