One of my favorite things in the world is reading, and let’s admit it, sometimes reading can be difficult, due to lack of time, lack of habit, or even that addiction to mobile devices that absorb us in our free time. But that feeling of motivation when we are opening a new book, we see all the pages that we have ahead of us, and step by step we approach the end, and when finally the victory of having finished a story is amazing.
No matter how many books you have read in the year, here is some motivation to exceed that goal in 2024.
These are some of the best books of 2023 according to Goodreads:
- Fourth Wing (The Empyrean, #1) by Rebecca Yarros
- Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus
- Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin
- Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt
- Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver
- The Inheritance Games (The Inheritance Games, #1) by Jennifer Lynn Barnes
- The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid
- Crooked Kingdom (Six of Crows, #2) by Leigh Bardugo
- Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid
- The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood
Even tho, I want to recommend some classics if you are interested in the beginning of reading literature. I think some of these books are indispensable for anyone, no matter your nationality or language, so, here are the 5 books you need to read if you want to start your way into literature:
- The Catcher in the Rye by J. D. Salinger
- To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
