The 77-year-old legend, known for his unforgettable riffs and stage presence, shared the news in a heartfelt Instagram video. Despite the seriousness of the situation, May’s characteristic humor and positive attitude shone through as he assured fans that he’s on the mend.

In the video, May explained how the stroke left him unable to use his left arm—an alarming issue for any guitarist, let alone someone of his caliber. “It scared me a little bit, I have to say,” he admitted, thanking the medical staff at Frimley Hospital in England for their swift and effective care. Despite the ordeal, May is already back to playing guitar. What a relief!

May’s recovery is being closely monitored, with doctors recommending strict measures to ensure his health. He’s been grounded from driving, flying, or doing anything that might elevate his heart rate. But in true Brian May fashion, he took it all in stride, joking, “I’m grounded.”
