Britney Spears’ mental health has once again become the focus of sensationalist media in the United States after the singer was involved in an incident a few weeks ago at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles. At this time, not all the exact details are known, but the press claims that the artist had an argument with Paul Richard, her supposed boyfriend.
TMZ—a media outlet that fans of the Princess of Pop accuse of running a smear campaign against her—has published articles claiming that according to supposed sources close to Britney, the star needs a new conservatorship.

In response to all these speculations, Spears has posted on Instagram, her favorite social network and main way to communicate with her fans, narrating everything she has suffered and the aftereffects she still deals with due to the conservatorship.
“I’m not here to play the victim; I’m here to make it clear that even though I wrote a book about my experience, the trauma is still very present and will probably never go away,“ the star said in a message that she later deleted.
The “Toxic” singer also mentioned twice an incident where she was kept immobilized for an extended period. “To be honest, I have not been the same since then,” she asserts. Although she did not specify the exact time, the singer directly relates this episode to the neurological damage she suffers on the right side of her body, detailing that the damage is so severe it even impairs her thinking.

Not the First Time
The star’s account coincides with when, in 2019, she was involuntarily admitted to a rehabilitation clinic after refusing to perform a choreography in one of the rehearsals for her Las Vegas show.
In her explosive testimony before the judge, Britney claimed that she was a victim of abuse by her father and was medicated with lithium, and was pressured to work tirelessly, otherwise, she was punished.
This is not the first time the pop icon has revealed that she suffers aftereffects from the conservatorship. In 2022, she revealed that she suffers physical pain almost daily due to nerve damage.
“I’m dancing to the beat now, Victoria… yes… nerve damage on the right side of my body… no cure except God, I guess… nerve damage happens sometimes when you don’t get enough oxygen to your brain,” the singer wrote.
