Garrison Brown, Son of 'Sister Wives' Stars, Found Dead: Family Mourns Tragic Loss

Remember that 17-season program about a man living with his four wives in the United States? Exactly, we’re talking about Sister Wives, a TV show that started back in the early 2000s, depicting the daily life of an unconventional family where one man was married to four women, all aware of each other’s existence. Some saw it as revolutionary, some as sinful, but what we do know is that the show was so successful it ran for more than 17 seasons, whether due to curiosity or other reasons, the public loved it.

Sadly, we’re in mourning because one of the family members, Garrison Brown, son of Janelle and Kody Brown, was found dead, apparently by suicide, at only 25 years old. The young man was found at his home in Flagstaff.

Garrison participated in the show from his childhood; he is the fourth child of Kody Brown, the series’ protagonist, who practices polygamy with his four wives. Janelle and Kody confirmed their son’s death through social media with this message:

“Kody and I are deeply saddened to announce the loss of our beautiful boy Robert Garrison Brown,” they wrote. “He was a bright spot in the lives of all who knew him. His loss will leave such a big hole in our lives that it takes our breath away. We ask that you please respect our privacy and join us in honoring his memory.”

According to TMZ, the Flagstaff Police Department responded to a death report and found Garrison dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. No foul play is suspected. According to the FPD, Garrison was found by his brother Gabriel.

His most recent Instagram post was on February 28, where he introduced the newest member of his family, a kitten named Ms. Buttons. Meanwhile, TLC released a statement after his passing that read,

“We are devastated to hear of the tragic loss of Garrison Brown. We extend our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the Brown family at this difficult time.”
