Toronto police arrested a person who tried to break into Canadian musician Drake’s property in the city, law enforcement officials revealed Wednesday.
According to a source acquainted with Drake’s residence, who spoke with NBC News, “The person did not break into the property. Security intercepted him at the gate and promptly handed him over to the authorities.”
As per a source familiar with Drake’s estate: “The person did not break in to the property. Security intercepted them at the gate and swiftly turned them over to law enforcement.” he said.
Ontario’s Mental Health Act serves as legislation outlining procedures for assisting individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. Additionally, it enables individuals to undergo emergency assessment even without their consent, with the support of a Physician or a Justice of the Peace, authorities stated.
Police did not confirm the exact location of the attempted robbery, but did confirm that the incident took place at the same location as Tuesday’s shooting, which occurred on Drake’s property.
Police also said “this has nothing to do with the investigation from” Tuesday.
