Hollywood star Rebel Wilson is in the process of publishing a book, which includes her memoirs, and what caught everyone’s attention is that a week ago she posted on Instagram revealing that she wanted to dedicate an entire chapter to a “massive a**hole”, creating a lot of anticipation about who it might be. Later, we found out that it was Sacha Baron Cohen, who was her co-star in movies like Grimsby.
Rebel Wilson’s Controversial Book
The book, titled Rebel Rising, will be released on April 2, 2024, in hardcover and e-book formats, and the chapter that has caused so much controversy will be the 23rd. Sacha has hired a crisis public relations manager and lawyers and is threatening Rebel Wilson about the publication of her book and his name in it. All this we found out thanks to an Instagram story from the actress, which was later deleted.
“I wrote about an a–hole in my book. Now, said a–hole is trying to threaten me,” the “Pitch Perfect” star claimed in a since-deleted Instagram Story over the weekend.
Rebel has also mentioned that “He is trying to stop press coming out about my book. But the book WILL come out, and you will all know the truth.”
Rebel has also publicly stated that when she started in Hollywood, people told her not to work with idiots and that for her it was quite logical, but she understood it until she worked with one.
“When I first came to Hollywood, people were like, yeah, ‘I have a no a–hole policy.’ [It] means, like, ‘Yeah, I don’t work with a–holes.’ I was like, ‘Oh, yeah.’ I mean, that sounds sensible or logical,”
“But then [what they meant] really sunk in because I worked with a massive a–hole,” Wilson continued. “And yeah, now I definitely have a no a–holes policy.”
“Every single day he’s like, ‘Rebel, can you just go naked in this scene?’ And I’m like, ‘No!’” she claimed at the time. “Sacha and I have the same agent in America and I’m like, ‘Sacha, I’m going to call our agent, Sharon, and tell her how much you are harassing me.’”
She added that when they worked together for one “Borat” scene, Cohen allegedly asked her to “stick [her] finger up [his] butt” despite that “really funny bit” not being in the script.
