Shakira has once again attracted attention, although this time it has nothing to do with Gerard Piqué, but with a young Colombian man who claims to be the son of the singer and actor Santiago Alarcón.
The alleged lost son of the interpreter demands to be recognized, but also a millionaire compensation, a fact that, of course, has raised suspicions that this person could actually be a scammer who seeks to enrich himself at the expense of Shakira’s fame.
What Does Shakira’s Alleged Son Say?
According to the story of the young boy, whose identity remains anonymous for now, he was abandoned by his parents and given up for adoption in 1992. Several years later, his adoptive mother confessed to him the truth about his birth and about his biological parents, so, from that moment on, he has been trying to contact Shakira and Santiago to demand to be recognized and compensated.
However, the fact that does not add up in his story is that in the year in which the young boy was allegedly given up for adoption, Shakira was 15 years old, and Santiago was between 12 and 13 years old, which, of course, casts doubt on his testimony.
A Millionaire Compensation?
After several attempts, Shakira’s alleged son managed to contact Alarcón to request a millionaire compensation for his abandonment. The actor told through social networks that after hearing the absurd story, the young man ended up extorting him by demanding 835 million pesos, an amount equivalent to 189,759 dollars.
Due to the insistence, Alarcón filed a formal complaint before the authorities, since he assured that he feared for his safety and that of his children and family since his workplace and privacy were violated.
