Bruce Willis worked with Quentin Tarantino in Pulp Fiction, and after almost 30 years, history could repeat itself, but this time to say ‘goodbye’ to cinema for good. The filmmaker is about to begin production on his tenth and last film as director, The Movie Critic, for which, according to The Daily Express, he wants the actor.

However, Bruce Willis’ role would be small, as since a couple of months ago, his health has deteriorated. The celebrity was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, which affects his behavior and language. Tarantino would have already taken this into account, so he thought of a cameo and incorporate some scenes from films in which Bruce participated, as a tribute to his career.

First of all, the filmmaker must contact the actor’s family and make them the proposal, since, due to his condition, Willis announced his retirement from the big screen a few months ago. “Quentin has not yet approached Bruce’s family and will desist altogether if they say he is too ill… If that is the case, he aims to include a brief clip from one of Bruce’s many previous films,” the source told The Daily Express.

Quentin Tarantino’s The Movie Critic

Although there are not so many details about The Movie Critic, it is known that it will follow the story of a ‘porn rag’ journalist and will be set in the late 1970s, in California. For his latest film, Tarantino was inspired by a real-life movie critic who wrote for an adult magazine. The director is looking for the cast, but he did consider working with Bruce Willis from the beginning, just like in the good old days.

The filming of the movie was planned for the fall of this year, but, due to the strike of scriptwriters and actors in Hollywood, there is a risk of modifying the shooting date. No doubt seeing this pair working together again would be a dream, not only for Tarantino but for movie lovers as well.

Bruce Willis’ Health

The 68-year-old actor has gone through several ups and downs since he was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, and there was even a time when he was so ill that his family brought Christmas forward. After that, they celebrated his birthday, where he appeared with a very different physique than the one we remember. Bruce appeared a little thinner and without some teeth, although with a better countenance.
