It turns out that the beautiful characters who have accompanied us for several years are alive because they are possessed. What?
According to the legend, Andy’s father, with whom he shares his name, died shortly after he was born, something that plunged his mother into deep sadness.
Desperate and in tremendous pain, she began to perform rituals just to be able to speak with her husband once more… but one day, something terrifying happened.
With the desire to have Andy’s dad close by, she made a pact with the Devil. This involved allowing other demons to possess other toys so that the spirit of her beloved would also remain inside one of them.
For a moment, she thought it would not be a good idea to expose her son to being surrounded by these evil beings; however, the Devil assured her that he would never notice, as they would not move or do anything when the little one was nearby.
Without further hesitation, she accepted and chose Woody to hold her husband’s spirit, as he was one of his favorite toys from his childhood.
This explains why Andy’s name is written one way on the Cowboy’s boot and another on Buzz’s boot. The same reason why the protagonist is so attached to this toy, which is more like his father.
