The MTV Video Music Awards, better known as the VMAs, are one of the most popular award shows out there because they recognize the best of the best, but they do it in a fun and relaxed way. However, what people love the most about the show isn’t even the awards or the performances, it’s the fashion. Since its first broadcast in 1984, celebrities have used the show as a platform to show their most creative outfits. There’s the iconic moment when Rose McGowan showed up in an extremely see-through dress (which was recreated years later by Amber Rose), Lady Gaga’s polemic meat gown, Nicki Minaj’s Harajuku-inspired look, and Katy Perry with her strange yellow cube hat. Honestly, the list could go on, and on, and on, for weeks, but the point is that there’s something about the VMAs and the over-the-top outfits that we all love to watch, and this year wasn’t the exception. Take a look at this year’s MTV VMAs best, interesting, and please don’t do that again outfits.
