You can say anything about Taylor Swift but we can all agree that the influence and power she’s acquired in this past year is historical. Little by little, Swift has conquered anything she sets her eyes on, and despite what angry old men think, the NFL has just fallen into her charms just like everybody else.
Not only is everybody highly expecting to see if the “Lover” singer will make it to the Super Bowl this Sunday to see her boo’s Kansas City Chiefs face the San Francisco 49ers, it seems that brands are well aware of her influence and whether she attends or not, have made her already part of the big event.
One of the ads that has definitely moved us to our core is the one released by Cetaphil, the hip dermatological skincare brand, which besides the amazingly subtle way in which they made their product placement, has brought us all to tears with a heartwarming story of a broken father-and-daughter relationship being fixed by none other than Taylor Swift.
The ad shows us everyday rituals in which a daughter, who seems estranged from her father, simply decides to spend the day doing her skincare and looking at her phone in her room while her father enjoys some football matches. As days go by, the father tries to approach her daughter and finally realizes it’s Miss Taylor appearing on screen who might help him reconnect with her.
The father then gifts her a red jersey with the number 13 (if you know you know) on it, and then they both enjoy the match together. Without saying any names or even using official Chiefs merch, the ad makes it clear what this is all about. And the dad wearing some friendship bracelets at the end? I mean… tears! Yes, Taylor keeps bringing people together without even knowing it!
Here’s the ad if you haven’t seen it or you want to feel a huge hug in your heart!
