Oh, the bubble gum! Some chew it to reduce some stress. Others buy it in case they want to freshen their breath. Moreover, there are people whose purchase decisions depend on the bubble gum’s taste.
There are classic flavors, like mint and spearmint; some remind us of our childhood, such as the ‘original flavor’ (a.k.a. the pink one) or the fruity ones.
On the other hand, there were some companies that got a bit creative and decided to create bubble gum flavors that go “beyond the ordinary”. These are some of the weirdest bubble gum flavours that we dare you to try.
1. TV Dinner Gumballs
Country: USA
This flavor was made for those nostalgics who want to recreate the moment they warmed up the typical frozen food minutes before their favorite tv show began.
The TV Dinner Gumballs had three flavors: buttered corn, roast beef, and apple crisp dessert. They even came in a retro tin that nods to the frozen dinner tray!
2. Bacon Flavored Chewing Gum
Country: USA
If mints, candies, and even lip balms that taste like this breakfast food already exist, why wouldn’t there be bacon-flavored gum?
The bacon gumballs are the perfect gift for all the lovers of this crispy salt-cured meat.
3. Man Smell Gum
Country: Japan
Ok, this one is definitely one of the weirdest ones! Sure, there are a lot of products that claim that, once they’re used, the client will smell “like a man” (whatever that means).
Yet, Osaka-based confectionary Glico went further by creating a bubble gum that “makes males smell better with each chew”. Said product was named Otoko Kaoru, which literally means “man smell”.
How did it work? Supposedly, each sugar-free gum stick contained rose essence that was absorbed and then released through the skin pores.
4. Foie Gras Bubble Gum
Country: USA
The creators of Gourmet Foie Gras Bubble Gum invented this product to allow anyone, in a certain way, to enjoy the taste of this fancy dish.
But don’t worry! The brand took care that no duck or goose was used for the creation of this gum. How did they get the flavor? Who knows. However, apparently it was not a hit in the market since Gourmet Foie Gras Bubble Gum was discontinued.
5. Ginseng bubble gum
Country: South Korea
South Korean multinational corporation Lotte launched a ginseng-flavored chewing gum. Ginseng has been used in South Korea for curating foods and medical purposes.
Some people described its taste as “sweet but annoyingly powerful”.
6. Pickle Gumballs
Country: USA
Another odd flavor is that of the Pickle Gumballs. Each pack comes with 22 dill-flavored gum balls, though not with the same sodium quantity as the one of the pickled cucumber.
7. Thanksgiving flavored gum
Country: USA
This flavor was invented for those who can’t wait for the day to celebrate this national holiday. The Thanksgiving Gum Ball pack includes the typical flavors of the dishes that you may find at home, such as turkey, cranberry, and pumpkin pie.
With this box of gum, there’s the possibility to “taste” this holiday throughout the year.pack includes the typical flavors of the dishes that you may find at home, such as turkey, cranberry, and pumpkin pie.

8. Wasabi flavored gum
Country: USA
Don’t underestimate this tiny piece of gum, for it has the powerful aroma and taste of the sushi’s green companion! The Wasabi Gum-balls are for the brave palette because this gum tastes exactly like the hot spice used in Japanese cuisine.
9. Roast Beef Bubble Gum
Country: USA
“Ward off your meat cravings till dinner time!”. Seriously, that’s the motto that comes in this gum’s package. According to the Roast Beef Bubble Gum’s description, it tastes so delicious that each gumball deserves to be served on a platter and carved with a knife and fork”.
10. Ballpark Flavored Gumballs
Country: USA
Honestly, I didn’t know that a baseball park had a specific taste. Well, Ballpark Flavored Gumballs has the answer: Hot dogs, peanuts, and beer. All these flavors are inside a convenient can of gum.
Which of these bubble gums would you dare to try? Have you ever come across any chewing gum with a weird flavor?
