Whether you’re booking a weekend escape, relocating temporarily to Mexico City, or prepping for a destination wedding, Airbnb just dropped a major update that might completely change the way you travel — and even how you live day to day.
Live from Los Angeles, the Summer Release 2025 event introduced Airbnb’s most ambitious update yet: a platform that goes beyond accommodation and becomes part of your everyday life.
Airbnb Now Offers Chefs, Stylists, and Trainers — at Home or on the Go.
“Today, we’re introducing Airbnb Services — incredible offerings that make your experience even more special,” said Airbnb CEO and co-founder Brian Chesky during the launch. “You can now hire a private chef to cook in your Airbnb. You can book a massage, spa treatments like facials and scrubs — even a personal trainer.”
Yes, this means that whether you’re in a sleek apartment in Roma Norte, Mexico City for a month or prepping for your best friend’s wedding in Tulum, you’ll be able to access services you’d normally only find at luxury hotels — all without leaving your Airbnb.
Imagine not having to scramble for a last-minute hair stylist before an event or cooking for the entire family on vacation. Now, Airbnb does that heavy lifting for you.

A Total Redesign — and a Fresh Take on Experiences
In addition to the new services, the app itself is getting a full makeover. But perhaps more exciting is what Airbnb’s doing with Experiences — a feature that launched back in 2016 and, let’s be honest, got a little… stale.
Now, the platform is upping the curation and quality. Instead of dozens of hosts offering similar activities, Airbnb will highlight top-tier specialists and unique access.
In Paris, for instance, one of the architects behind the Notre-Dame restoration will guide tours of the iconic cathedral. And in Mexico City? Forget just watching lucha libre — now a professional wrestler will teach you the moves in Arena México.

Strategic, Bold — and Just in Time
Airbnb’s Summer Release has become the company’s go-to stage for unveiling big strategic shifts. Past editions have introduced total app redesigns and features like Airbnb Icons, which let you stay in pop culture landmarks or join celebrity-hosted experiences.
This year’s updates feel not just ambitious, but timely. With tighter regulations on short-term rentals and travelers increasingly looking for added value, Airbnb’s push toward everyday services and curated experiences is both a power move and a natural evolution.
And whether you’re exploring a new city or just want a facial without leaving home — you’ll probably want to try it.
