Razones por las que ‘Thriller’ de Michael Jackson es el mejor álbum de su carrera

There’s a reason why Michael Jackson is called The King of Pop. He had an incredible musical talent, and for every song he created, people would listen to it on loop until the next one was released. Still, some of his albums became a clear distinctive of who he was and why he deserved that artistic title within a whole industry.

It’s been nearly 40 years since The King of Pop released the Thriller masterpiece, and up to this day, we are still listening to these songs over and over again. It is easy to guess why this is the best album he ever made, but if you still have any doubt about it, here we will convince you.

1. It is the best selling album of all time

With more than 100 million copies sold, Michael Jackson broke the record of the best-selling album in history. Besides, all seven singles included in this album managed to be in the Top 10 of Billboard’s Hot 100 list, and in 1984, it won 8 Grammys, including the category Album of the Year.

2. It includes Jackson’s greatest song

Many of his singles have reached first place on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart; some of them lasted a week in that position since its release, and others could keep it up for even a month. But the ultimate song that could keep the first place in the chart for seven weeks was “Billie Jean”; the one that has been known as Michael Jackson’s greatest song of his career.

3. Amazing artist collaborated in the album

The album also includes singles where huge artists like Paul McCartney, LaToya, and Janet Jackson merge their voices with Michael´s to create songs like “The Girl is Mine” and “Pretty Young Thing.”

4. It relates with Michael’s greatest music video

“Thriller’s” 14-minute Short Film became a huge phenomenon that has captured the audience’s attention up to this day. It is one of the three films that were produced as music videos for some of the album’s songs (the other ones were “Beat It” and “Billie Jean”) and the only piece that was selected to be included in the National Film Registry of the Library of Congress.

5. It has not gone out of style

We can still listen to these songs everywhere we go. Moreover, “Thriller” has become a Halloween staple. “Thriller” is a must; “Billie Jean’s” YouTube views continue to increase year by year, and the “Beat It” choreography is still danced by many all over the world. This album will always have a special place in people’s hearts, and we will continue to listen to it because it is simply some of the best music that has ever existed.
