The premiere of Oppenheimer is around the corner and with it all the hype for every single detail we get to know about the movie. Christopher Nolan’s film will tell the story of Robert Oppenheimer, the famous scientist who developed the atomic bomb, and the consequences of his invention.
To tell such a harsh story, Nolan had to cast the perfect actors to bring back to life all the characters involved in the creation of the worst weapon ever used in history. Not only is the cast extremely talented, but the resemblance between the characters is also impressive!

J. Robert Oppenheimer (Cillian Murphy)
Julius Robert Oppenheimer was a Jewish American brilliant scientist in charge of leading the Manhattan Project, a top-secret assignment to develop the atomic bomb during WWII.
Katherine Oppenheimer (Emily Blunt)
Best known as Kitty Oppenheimer, Katherine was Oppenheimer’s wife. She was also a renowned botanist and biologist.
Lewis Strauss (Robert Downey Jr.)
Downey Jr. gives life to Lewis Strauss, a philanthropist, and businessman who worked with Oppenheimer in the Atomic Energy Commission and was key in the development of nuclear weapons in the US.
Leslie Groves (Matt Damon)
Above Oppenheimer in the Manhattan Project was Lieutenant General Leslie Groves, director of the top secret assignment. He also is remembered for leading the construction of the Pentagon.
Richard Feynman (Jack Quaid)
The Manhattan Project would’ve never been a success without the team of scientists who assisted Oppenheimer. Richard Feynman was one of the most brilliant minds on the team. Feynman was a theoretical physicist who specialized in the path integral formulation of quantum mechanics.
David Hill (Rami Malek)
David L. Hill was also part of the team of scientists at Los Alamos Laboratory. He was an associate in experimental physics during the project.
Jean Tatlock (Florence Pugh)
Last but not least, Florence Pugh will play Jean Tatlock, a renowned psychiatrist, and physician who is mainly remembered for being Oppenheimer’s mistress.
