Alleged images of the live-action Snow White movie have been released, and just as it happened with The Little Mermaid, there is a new racial controversy, now focused on Latinos. The photos show a woman dressed in the classic attire of this princess, accompanied by seven other people, who are supposed to be the famous dwarfs of the Disney fairy tale.
The Daily Mail portal shared an article on the matter, highlighting a great diversity of genders and ethnicities, titled: “Snow White and the seven politically correct companions.” The above unleashed the wrath of Disney, who stated to ensure that the photos were fake, noting that what is sought is to affect the production long before its release, which will be during the spring of 2024.
“The photos are fake and are not from our production,” the company noted. However, they later specified to The Daily Beast that the images were real but were not official “photos” from the set, in addition to the fact that it is not Rachel Zegler, the actress who appears in the images.
The issue here is that, once again, internet users are complaining about racism and diversity issues: from attacks on the actress for her skin color to the changes that have been made to the “7 dwarves” who are now “7 magical beings.”
Peter Dinklage had once reacted to the announcement of the live-action claiming that how movies and folk have treated dwarves was offensive as they were people, not magical beings. As happens with social media, once these images went viral, the actor received lots of hate claiming he had ruined the story with his politically correct views.

Rachel Zegler Responds to Racist Critics
On social media, some criticized the fact that Rachel Zegler is the actress who plays this princess, especially because of her skin color, which they claim is different from that of the character. For her part, Zegler published a tweet in which she asked for a stop to the racist comments against her and thanked those who have expressed their support.
The actress said she no longer wants to engage with the “meaningless discourse” that surrounds her when she plays Snow White. The 22-year-old actress tweeted on July 15: “Extremely grateful for the love I feel from those who are defending me online, but please don’t tag me in the meaningless discourse about my choice. I really, really don’t want to see it.”
