The American comedian Amy Schumer has responded to the trolls, through her Instagram account, to their criticism of her physical appearance after she participated in the Jimmy Fallon Show and The View recently.
“Thank you very much for everyone’s contributions about my face!” “I have enjoyed comments and deliberation about my appearance, like all women, for almost 20 years. And you’re right, right now it’s more swollen than normal,” she said.
In response to her criticism, Amy Schumer explained that the changes in her appearance are due to her ongoing battle with endometriosis, an autoimmune disease in which the lining of the uterus grows outside the organ.

“There are some medical and hormonal things going on in my world right now, but I’m fine,” the 42-year-old continued. “I also believe that a woman does not need any excuse for her physical appearance and she does not owe any explanation. But she wanted to take the opportunity to advocate for self-love and acceptance of the skin she is in.”
The comedy star shared this message about body image, following the arrival of her first child with Chris Fisher in 2019.
“Like any other woman/person, some days I feel safe and very good, and other days I want to put a bag over my head. But I feel strong and beautiful and very proud of this television show that I created. I wrote, starred and direct. Maybe we can focus on that for a while.”
This is not the first time that Amy Schumer has proclaimed herself in favor of self-love, last month through a story, through the same social network, she published a selfie of herself topless with the phrase: “I still do it.” I have (40 extra pounds).”
