The wait was worth it. Today, the first images of Beetlejuice 2 were revealed, and we couldn’t be more excited because after 36 years we finally get to see Michael Keaton, Catherine O’Hara, and Winona Ryder reprising their iconic roles.
The countdown to the release of the sequel directed by the great Tim Burton has begun, and to raise expectations, Entertainment Weekly shared some images of what we can expect in the movie.
In the first image, we see Winona Ryder, who played Lydia Deetz in the first film, wearing a long black dress and dark glasses, alongside Jenna Ortega, who joins the franchise, wearing a purple coat.
In that same image, we also see Catherine O’Hara, Lydia Deetz’s mother, and another character whose identity is unknown at this moment.
In the second image, we see Michael Keaton wearing Beetlejuice’s classic striped suit in what appears to be an attic with a model of the solar system.
When will Beetlejuice 2 be released?
According to the information revealed today, Beetlejuice 2 will hit theaters before the end of 2024.
The chosen release date is September 6, 2024, a few weeks before Halloween.
The official title of the film will be “Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice,” and although few details of the plot have been revealed, we are sure that we will leave the theater happy and full of nostalgia.
