Actress Jenna Ortega gained a fresh career boost with her role in the series “Wednesday,” based on the Addams Family franchise by Netflix. Since then, she has ventured into new projects, such as “Scream,” from which she eventually departed. Alongside her recent success, criticisms have arisen regarding her behavior on and off sets, including script corrections without consulting writers, suggesting a lack of concern for the team’s health amidst COVID-19 symptoms.

According to specialized media, Jenna Ortega has lamented the portrayal of Latina actresses in Hollywood, criticizing executives from major studios as being “out of touch with reality.” In a recent interview, she expressed

“When it comes to Latina expectations, it’s easy for me to ignore them because the people in power right now, or who have been in those positions for quite some time in the industry, are either disconnected from reality or simply unfamiliar with the issue because they grew up in a very different time.”

She enjoys pushing boundaries and defying Latino character stereotypes, saying, “I have a lot of fun pushing boundaries and doing all the things the Latino character ‘shouldn’t’ do. We were never the heroes or the protagonists of the story, and I love being able to break down that barrier.”

These comments come after her recent film, “Miller’s Girl,” became the worst of her career, receiving harsh criticism, especially for an intimate scene that fans on social media deemed “disgusting” or “disturbing.” Ortega’s upcoming projects include the second season of “Wednesday” and “Beetlejuice 2.”
