Eminem‘s long-awaited comeback has ended with the release of his new album ‘The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce)’. The project comes after his last 2020 release of ‘Music to Be Murdered By’.
Through social media, Eminem explained that this new album is a concept album, a piece that can only be heard from beginning to end “if you listen to songs out of order they might not make sense.”
Public service announcement: the “death of slim shady” is a conceptual album, therefore, if you listen to songs out of order they might not make sense. Enjoy.

Eminem’s New Album Controversies
On the album’s eighth song, called ‘Antichrist‘, the 51-year-old rapper drops some controversial verses, in this case we’re talking about Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion when he says “‘Cause I can spit a bar that is a
Cross between Nas and GZA, Biggie Smalls, and RZA. So hard, Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj’ll scissor (Cut it out)“

Without a doubt ‘Antichrist’ is one of the songs with the most references of this type, as it also mentions Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, Ben Affleck, Jeffrey Epstein, Nikolas Cruz, and even dared to use Caitlyn Jenner’s dead name.
Using female rappers and their beef to propagate some virality for your album… yikes

On the other hand, many users on social media have made it clear that in this “comeback” of Eminem, he used female rappers to go viral so that this new album would not be a flop.
As if that were not enough, the BBC published some expert opinions about this new album, and the truth is that they are not very flattering.
“It doesn’t quite feel like an ending, but neither does it feel like a continuation,” said Robin Murray.
Also, Michael Saponara said: “At one point, Slim Shady puts Marshall on blast for creating him as an alter-ego to stir up controversy and essentially be a shield to say jarring things that he didn’t really have the courage to stand on.”
