Former President Donald Trump has resorted to using AI-generated images to gain support from Taylor Swift’s fanbase, known as the Swifties, for his campaign.
Donald Trump Targets Swift for Presidential Campaign
Taylor Swift has become a focal point for U.S. presidential candidates. For a while now, Republican candidate Trump has mentioned her in relation to his campaign, questioning her political preferences.
In an attempt to capture the attention of Swifties—a young and influential voter demographic—Trump shared a series of fake images created with Artificial Intelligence. These images depict Taylor Swift and her fans supposedly endorsing Trump’s candidacy.

On Sunday, Trump posted on his Truth Social account several AI-generated images featuring women wearing T-shirts with the phrase “Swifties For Trump.” He labeled the post as “satire,” likely as a means to avoid legal repercussions from Swift. One of the images even states, “Swifties join Trump after ISIS thwarted Taylor Swift’s concert.”

In another AI-generated image, Trump shared a picture of Taylor dressed as Uncle Sam, with a sign reading, “Taylor wants you to vote for Donald Trump.”

Swifties for Trump
According to People magazine, after Trump posted the “Swifties for Trump” images without any clear disclaimers, some fans took them seriously. The Republican later shared the reaction of a woman who seemed to believe the images.
“I never thought I’d see the day that Swifties were rallying for Trump,” says the woman. “I guess something with ISIS happened. There’s a lot of terrorism going on. I guess she had to shut down shows because of it, and a lot of them are just saying, ‘You know, if Trump was in office, this would have never ever happened.’
Recently, Swift was targeted in a failed terrorist attack during her Eras Tour in Vienna, leading to the cancellation of her concerts.
This isn’t the first time Trump has referenced Swift during his campaign. A few months ago, he criticized her political stance, labeling her as “liberal” and expressing surprise at her success in country music despite her liberal views.
In the last election, Taylor campaigned for current President Joe Biden and has been outspoken against Republican-led anti-LGBTQ+ legislation.
