For years, we have believed that the world is dominated by phallic images. Freud himself spoke about “penis envy” in female psycho-sexual development when referring to the state of consciousness when girls realize that, unlike boys, they don’t possess an exposed phallic organ between their legs. But if we let go of our preconceived notions and look closer, we’ll see that the female sex is virtually in every inch of our reality.

The vagina is the dominant sexual organ. Everywhere, behind each image, camouflaged all over, vulva representations appear in the subconscious, barely concealed by other background elements. The moist warm lips, beginning and end of all things, rule with absolute power over each decision made by both sexes, hiding within the rigid façade of a phallic-centered society.

Nature promotes its greatest creation through flowers, fruits, and each element that breathes life in the planet. The vagina is also that hidden part of the female body. It is the entrance to the pleasure temple on which the infinitely superior sexual power of the female gender is erected. It has a power capable of dismantling the entire established order with the violent strength of a natural disaster, a raging ocean, or a cosmic explosion. It brings forth a new order, a nature in its likeness and will, and in each fold, contraction, and nervous ending, between its dark walls it carefully guards the sweetest secret of humanity.

Perhaps there is no stronger image than that of a vagina. That’s why society tries to unsuccessfully hide behind numerous distracters the universe each woman carries between her legs. A space perfectly designed to hold the biggest mystery and the most intense pleasure.
The moist sex of each vagina pulsates with a desire that goes beyond our conscience and reason. Neither one of these has the ability to guide you to the peak of human feeling, into a surge of delirium that causes the body to arch, lose control of limbs, desires, language, and societal rules.

In that moment just before there is nothing left, the mind starts to be free of each of its tethers, and just as it takes off, it falls suddenly into a climax of pleasure, into a moan that dissolves into the deepest ecstasy where there is no room to think, where the human condition is left behind, and all that remains is the furious surrendering, the electrifying rhythm of a body completely submitted to the waves of pleasure, that break again and again, violent, sweaty, and shaky, until there is nothing left.

“The universe
fits in a drop
when your body curves
my tongue grazes
an infinite fountain.”

Despite the powerful beauty of the image of a vagina, some women, guided by the ridiculous sense of contemporary society, look upon the creative, sensitive, and gender possibility between their legs with horror. Different industries that regulate the status quo on what is appropriate to be seen versus what is best to kept hidden have a very clear ideal on other parts of the female anatomy: perfectly round breasts, with light-colored and delicate nipples are widely accepted. The same goes with voluptuously firm buttocks, sculpted waists, flat and elongated abdomen, as well as curved skinny backs are some of the favorite parts to show off. However, the vagina, the place where everything is born, is very much hidden from sight, since it’s considered aesthetically displeasing.

Other aspects commonly hidden from sight by modern society are wounds, bruises, and any other skin “abnormality.” If we look at them from a different angle, we might be able to find a profound aesthetic meaning in them.
