Family Reacts To Liam Payne’s Death
Among the first to react was Harry Styles’ mother, Anne Twist, who had a close relationship with Payne throughout his years in the band. She took to Instagram, posting a simple yet deeply moving tribute. Alongside an image of a broken heart emoji, Twist wrote the words “Just a boy.”

Her post resonated with millions of fans who had followed One Direction since their early days on The X-Factor U.K., where Payne, Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson were united as a group, and of course, Anne was close to the teens.
Lou Teasdale, One Direction’s longtime hairstylist and close friend, also shared her grief. Through Instagram Stories, Teasdale expressed her love and sadness by posting, “I hope you’re all ok” with a broken heart emoji. She followed it with a clip of the band performing their 2015 song “Infinity” from their last album Made in the A.M., adding the caption “Forever” with a white heart emoji, signaling her enduring connection to Payne and the band’s legacy.

Zayn Malik’s cousin, Sasha Malik, was equally devastated and took a stand after TMZ leaked disturbing photos of Payne’s body shortly after his death was confirmed. Outraged, Sasha criticized the media outlet on her X (formerly Twitter) account, writing, “Fuck, TMZ.”
Sasha had previously posted a heart-wrenching message that simply read, “With a broken heart.”
Greg Horan, Niall Horan’s brother, also shared a message via instagram. “To say I’m heartbroken is an understatement. A weird feeling this morning and all night, you were a top young boy to a man, a son, a brother, you are only one of 4 lads. I was happy enough to take my place in Niall’s life as a brother. You will be forever missed Liam, words can’t describe how much I want to grab my brother and mind him now while the world shows their memories of you and him and the boys.” he wrote.
