The Los Angeles authorities confirmed that Aaron Carter died from drowning; he was under the effects of alprazolam (generic of Xanax) and difluoromethane (inhaled spray gas). The singer was found lifeless in the bathtub of his home last November 5. He was 34 years old.

In the official report, the police of Los Angeles reiterated that, after receiving the 911 emergency call, Carter no longer had vital signs inside his home located in Lancaster, California. “He was found submerged in water and unresponsive in his bathtub. Doctors pronounced him dead at the scene.” According to a TMZ report, his housekeeper was the person who found him in the tub and made the emergency call to the police for support.

Questionable Results?

Melanie Martin, Aaron Carter’s ex and mother of his child, isn’t convinced about the autopsy results. She declared to TMZ that the results are “not closure for me,” and overall, they have left her with only “more questions.”

At the moment, the death was ruled as accidental which makes Martin question even more if the results are accurate. She added that nothing makes sense in the case, starting with the fact that Carter was found wearing clothes and jewelry in the bathtub; “I don’t understand the chain of events.”

Nick Carter, Aaron’s brother said: “Sometimes we want to blame someone or something for a loss, but the truth is that addictions and mental illness are the real villains here.”
